Axial Coma

Axial coma (W31, C21, 3B2), is introduced by selecting its amplitude and angle to the first (h,k,l) direction of the reciprocal basis (1,0,0) on the figure below. Axial coma adjustment is available in the HREM map panel of the Bloch-wave calculation and the HREM map and the super-cell imager of the multislice calculation. Axial coma induces mainly a shift and distortion of the lattice fringes in the selected direction.
