The shape of the e-beam when propagating through a crystal is calculated as follow:
- Select the Nano-diffraction tab of the "Multislice" image calculation method.
- Load the stack of super-cells (Fig. 1).
- Select Coherent illumination model and Save wavefunction (Fig. 2).
- Initialize the calculation (Initialize button) and define the shape of the incident e-beam probe (Fig. 3).
- Start the calculation (Start button).
- The nano-difraction pattern is shown in Fig. 4.
- Load the stack of wavefunctions (Fig. 5).
- The amplitude or phase of the probe as a function depth is shown in Fig. 6.
