The 6 tabs of the specimen settings allow to set:
The precise specimen orientation is defined using the [uvw] zone axis indices (Fig. 2) and the (hkl) CLC indices (Fig. 3).
The choice of selectable [u,v,w] directions can be increased (decreased) using the ↑, ↓ or when the mouse is on the [uvw] stereogram and Alt-Ctrl-Shift + up-arrow (Alt-Ctrl-Shift + down-arrow) are pressed (this depends on the operating system). Any series of 3 integers separated by , (with or without the square brackets) followed pressing the enter key will define a new zone axis (in case it is on the stereogram).
The CLC can be set by dragging the green cross or clicking on a spot. The arrow keys
↑, ↓,
←, → also shift the CLC.
The sets
the CLC to (000). The
sets the [uvw] zone axis to the zone axis which closest to the crystal orientation and
resets the CLC indices (000) (Fig. 3). The slider adjusts the Kikuchi threshold in order
to plot more or less Kikuchi lines (Fig. 3).
The arrow key ↑ or ↓ increases or decreases the number of [uvw] poles (Fig. 5).
The arrow key ↑ or ↓ increases and decreases the number of Laue zones. The slider changes the camera length (Fig. 6).
The arrow keys ↑ or ↓ increases or
decreases the number of (hkl) planes. The tool button adds (hkl) indices (Fig. 7).
